![]() If you would like to support the mission of St. Gregory Episcopal School, we want to help you find a mode of giving that works for you. We offer several ways in which you can make a difference. We are not able to take donations electronically at this time, but you may call Alexis Leslie in the development office, (773) 277-4447 x13, for assistance, or mail a contribution directly to: St. Gregory Episcopal School Development Office 2130 S. Central Park Avenue Chicago, IL 60623
We can turn your donation into the currency of hope for our students. Dozens of individual donors choose to become scholarship sponsors, contributing between $250 and $9,000 each school year to support the tuition of a particular child or children. Scholarship sponsors receive a picture of the child who benefits from their donation, as well as information about how the child is progressing in school, their interests, and talents. Memorial Gifts Many donors choose to make a gift in honor of, or to memorialize, a friend or loved one. St. Gregory’s has many opportunities for such gifts, from planting a rose bush in our Memorial Garden, to naming recognition for larger gifts that allow us to offer the highest quality education in language arts, mathematics, and science. Endowments There can be no greater gift than to leave a legacy of learning. St. Gregory’s is currently building an endowment to ensure that the school will be able to offer low-income boys the opportunity of a private school education well into the future. If you would like to discuss the possibility of making such a gift, please call the development office. Common Cents Here at St. Gregory’s we love pennies, because we understand that there is power in numbers. So much so that we have started the Common Cents Campaign for interested companies, organizations, or church groups. Our goal is to raise one million pennies ($10,000) for our scholarship fund by June of 2005. It’s a meaningful way to support a good cause, and it doesn’t take a lot of organizing. All you have to do is get a large, clear jar, label it “Common Cents for St. Gregory’s” and put it in a highly visible place for 3-4 weeks. We’ll provide you with information so you can put an announcement in your newsletter or bulletin informing employees or parishioners about the Campaign and the collection dates, and asking them to bring in the pennies they’ve been collecting. Once the campaign is over, St. Gregory’s will even come out to pick them up so you don’t have to lug them. In-Kind Giving St. Gregory’s also gratefully accepts donations of specific items needed to help run the school more effectively and efficiently. Donations of in-kind gifts allow us to apply our funding in a manner that maximizes our academic efforts. At this time, St. Gregory’s would appreciate receiving donations of: § A good vacuum cleaner § Locking storage cabinets § School and office supplies (please call) § A digital camera (with software) § A video camera § Laptop computers § Copier paper Stock Exchange Each year, St. Gregory’s is fortunate to receive several donations of stock from individuals and families looking for a way to make a significant gift to St. Gregory’s and realize a tax deduction at the same time. If you might be interested in making such a gift, our development office can make it easy for you. All you have to do is call (773) 277-4447 x13 and we will connect you with an account manager who will assist in managing the details. Matching Gifts Many companies will match a contribution to a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization. If you would like to make a donation to St. Gregory’s, please check with your company to see if a match is possible. Our development office will assist in completing any necessary paperwork. Target - Take Charge of Education Program Target donates 1% of Target Visa and Target Guest Card purchases made at Target stores or www.target.com and one-half percent of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere to eligible K-12 schools designated by customers. If you shop at Target with either of the cards mentioned, please inform the clerk at checkout that you want St. Gregory Episcopal School to benefit from your purchase.
